Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing Extends Championship Lead with Fourth Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing Win of 2026

BILLINGS, MONT. (June 26, 2026) - When it mattered most, Rico Abreu was in the right place at the right time on Friday night at the Big Sky Speedway.

Kicking off the Rayce Rudeen Foundation Race weekend, Ryan Timms of Oklahoma City, Okla. dominated the majority of the 30-lap feature - at one point amassing a 3+ second advantage as he sliced through lap traffic with ease.

The narrative of the race flipped on Lap 19, however, when Abreu rocketed from third-to-first on a restart before the caution flew and negated his pass. After watching his lead disappear momentarily, Timms made the proper adjustments and held serve for the next five laps before the treacherous Big Sky cushion swallowed up the Liebig Motorsports #10.

First, a huge trip on the curb off turn four nearly sent Timms careening into the outside wall, but a huge lead and close save allowed him to maintain the lead for one extra lap before a second and most costly mistake over the turn two cushion let Abreu power by on Lap 25.

From there, Abreu survived a green-white-checkered finish to seal the deal on his 29th career win with Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing. It was the fifth overall win of 2026 for the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing, Carquest Auto Parts #24 and marked their fourth trip to Whiskey Myers Victory Lane this season with High Limit.

While his championship counterpart finished back in eighth, Abreu and TSR extended their title advantage to 29-points over Aaron Reutzel and the Ridge & Sons Racing team.

After controlling the opening 24 laps, Ryan Timms brought the Liebig Motorsports #10 home with a runner-up finish - matching their season-best effort on the national stage. Being the true outlaws they are, Timms and Liebig now will make the long overnight haul (15 hours to be exact) straight to Knoxville, Iowa where they are leading the season-long championship chase.

Crossing the line in third-place with his fourth podium of the season was Giovanni Scelzi aboard the Spire Motorsports, Chili's Grill & Bar #77. Rounding out the top-five was Pennsylvanian Brent Marks and Australian Kerry Madsen.

Closing out the top-10 on Friday at Big Sky was Tyler Courtney in the Clauson-Marshall Racing #7BC, Justin Peck in the Rudeen Racing #26, Aaron Reutzel in the Ridge & Sons Racing #87, Daison Pursley in the Kasey Kahne Racing #9, and Tanner Holmes in the Buch Motorsports #13.
