ROSSBURG, OH (July 16, 2026) — ROSSBURG, OH (July 16, 2026) – For the second year in a row Kyle Larson won the Jokers Jackpot at Eldora Speedway with the Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing Series.

The journey to victory lane was far from easy for Larson having to race fellow California drivers Corey Day and Rico Abreu for the victory, swapping slide jobs for position multiple times per lap before pulling away over the final 12 laps for the win and $100,000 top prize.

For Larson, it was a bit of redemption after some rare mistakes in his previous two sprint car starts had took him out of contention for victories that helped uplift his team, who had to make some repairs from the incidents.

“I was as pumped up for a win as I have been in a long time inside the cockpit,” said Larson. “I might not show it outside, but I was yelling, screaming, fist bumping, all that. I was really happy because Paul and Trevor work so hard.”

“I just want to do a good job for them and when I have nights where I screw up and make it you know hard on myself and them, it just bums me out. To go out there and kind of reward them with a good run last night, and then you cap it off with a six-figure payday. It just makes me feel good, so I love those guys, and I really appreciate what they do.”

Larson and Day started on the front row, but at the start it was Abreu blasting into the lead by the time the field reached turn one leaving Corey Day and Larson to race for the second position with Day solidifying the position on lap two.

On lap three Larson found himself under fire from Tyler Courtney and Logan Schuchart racing for third, fourth, and fifth position. Schuchart was able to take third position away from Larson on lap four.

Abreu had built up a 1.174 second lead as he entered lapped traffic on the fifth circuit, but that lead quickly vanished while navigating through slower cars as Day closed right up to Abreu’s back bumper.

On lap seven Day threw a slide job on Abreu in turns one and two on lap seven, but Abreu was able to counter and drive back to the lead. Abreu was then able to open some breathing room while Day found himself under fire from Larson, who took third position away from Schuchart on lap 12 and started to pressure Day for second by lap 15.

Larson made a big move on lap 16 to dive under Day going into turn one to take away the second position, but Day was able to counter the move down the backstretch to take the spot away. Larson then dove under Day in turn three to take away the position on lap 17.

Day was able to get a run down the backstretch and dove under Larson in turn three, but coming through turned four slid up and got into the fence, damaging the front end on his car and ending his night, bringing out the only caution flag during the main event.

Abreu chose the inside line for the restart and drove a defensive line to hold Larson at bay, but Larson was able to slide by Abreu one lap later, but Abreu was able to counter off turn two, holding the top position.

Abreu continued to enter off the cushion to try and hold Larson at Bay, countering his slide jobs, trading the lead back and forth until Larson was able to take the top position for good on lap 23, moving his line down entering turn one to prevent Abreu from countering with another slide job.

Larson then traced Eldora’s cushion without errors to hold off Abreu for the victory. Schuchart held on for second while Carson Macedo and Brent Marks rounded out the top five.
