34 cars timed in their four heat groups. Kasey Kahne (10.547 seconds on the quarter, mile) was quickest in the first group and overall. The second was led by Rees Moran (10.605), the third by Lee Goos Jr. (10.775) and the fourth by Jy Corbet (10.805).

8, lap heats took the top five to the feature, and the heat winner and the fastest qualifier (starting fourth) finishing in the top five to the redraw. The track was fast early. Peterson led the distance. Timms jumped quickly up to third, but couldn’t get by Olson for second. Kahne dropped back to fifth, but regained fourth from 16-year-old Wood at the halfway point.

Henderson led wire to wire. Pake passed the 15-year-old Barnes for second on lap two. Barnes and 16-year-old Hillier were making their Huset’s debuts.

Kingshott snatched the lead from Mullen when the green fell, and never looked back.

Thram, the point leader coming in, decided he would take a feature provisional. The 12-lap B took the top four to the A. Juhl led early over Winters, Dobesh, Broty and Bickett. Hughes moved into fifth on lap two. Four laps in, Hickle spun after contact from Naida on the frontstretch. He made repairs and rejoined at the tail. Hughes grabbed the final transfer spot from Broty on the restart. With three to go, Werkmeister flipped in turn one. He was unhurt. Juhl led Winters, Dobesh and Hughes back to green. Hughes shot by Dobesh on the restart to finish third.

The 30-lapper paid $10,057 to win. Before a lap could be completed, Carder spun, collecting Thram and Dobesh. They made work area repairs and retured. Dobmeier led lap one, over Moran, Kingshott, Goos and Corbet. One lap in, Barnes spun, collecting Dobesh and Thram. Barnes would retire. Under the caution, Corbet went pitside, surrendering fifth to Kahne. Kahne passed Goos for fourth on the restart. Henderson followed him into fifth a lap later. Dobmeier was already in lapped traffic on lap six, and Moran closed. He took the lead in traffic completing lap seven. Kingshott tagged the back of Dobmeier, spinning him out of second, and bringing caution. The restart now saw Moran leading Kingshott, Kahne, Henderson and Goos. Timms would shoot into fifth at this point. Moran entered traffic on lap 12, but got clean air again when Mullen flipped 12 laps in. Hillier was also involved and went to the work area. Mullen was o.k. Timms penalty for jumping, had him restart eighth. On lap 13, Kahne took third from Henderson. A lap later, Timms shot from sixth to fourth. Moran was back in traffic on lap 16. Timms gained third from Kahne a circuit later. With ten to go, Kingshott briefly took the lead from Moran, but then spun, collecting a then fifth running Pursley. Timms had hit the wall, but kept it going. The restart with five to go, saw Moran ahead of Timms, Kahne, Henderson and Peterson. Moran pulled away from the field and won his first ever feature at Huset’s and the dough. Thram was the hard-charger, running from 25th to 6th.

Trevor Serbus 305’s

Heat one (started): 1. 10X, Trevor Serbus (2); 2. 18, Corbin Erickson (4); 3. X, Dylan Waxdahl (6); 4. 23X, Brandon Bosma (7) / 5. 23, Aydin Lloyd (8); 6. 9, Laney Moore (5); 7. 20T, Travis Christensen (1); 8. (DQ) 3D, Dan Griep (3)

8-lap heats took the top four to the feature. The heats were hammer down, making it hard for the IMCA handicapped in the back to move forward. Serbus led the distance, ahead of Griep, who would be DQed. Waxdahl gained fourth from La Moore at the halfway point. Bosma would follow him into fifth a lap later. That spot would prove to be the final transfer with the DQ.

Heat two (started): 1. 6, Logan Moore (2); 2. 6B, Bayley Ballenger (3); 3. 3B, Blake Ballenger (6); 4. 17, Lee Goos Jr (8) / 5. 12L, John Lambertz (7); 6. 62J, Jay Masur (1); 7. 68, Mason Slendy (4); 8. (DNF) 17B, Ryan Bickett (5)

Lo Moore led wire to wire, ahead of the Ballenger’s. Goos started at the tail, but had gained a transfer by lap two. Lambertz moved up to fifth by the halfway point, but settled one spot out of a transfer.

Heat three (started): 1. 17D, Dillon Bickett (1); 2. 15, Kaden Schliemann (3); 3. 13MJ, Brandon Halverson (5); 4. 11, Karter Heiskell (4) / 5. 14, Nick Barger (6); 6. 8, Micah Slendy (7); 7. O7, Owen Carlson (8); 8. 4, Gavin Gregory (2)

Gregory, who won here a couple weeks back spun on the first lap and collected Carlson. Both were done for the night. D. Bickett led throughout in a mostly single-file affair.

Heat four (started): 1. 28G, Gracyn Masur (1); 2. 28B, Braden Ockenga (2); 3. 23V, Michalob Voeltz (3); 4. 88R, Ryder Laplante (8) / 5. 91, Andrew Sullivan (4); 6. 9A, Hunter Hanson (6); 7. 81, Jared Jansen (5); 8. 56, Bill Johnson (7)

G. Masur led the distance over Ockenga and Voeltz. Laplante, an ASCS regular made the start between 360 stops in Alexandria and Knoxville, He gained fifth from Sullivan on lap two, and gained the final transfer from Hanson with three to go.

B main (started): 1. 23, Aydin Lloyd (1); 2. 12L, John Lambertz (2); 3. 14, Nick Barger (3); 4. 9A, Hunter Hanson (8) / 5. 17B, Ryan Bickett (13); 6. 3D, Dan Griep (14); 7. 20T, Travis Christensen (9); 8. 68, Mason Slendy (10); 9. 8, Micah Slendy (7); 10. 81, Jared Jansen (11); 11. 9, Laney Moore (5); 12. 91, Andrew Sullivan (4); 13. 62J, Jay Masur (6); 14. 56, Bill Johnson (12); DNS - 4, Gavin Gregory; O7, Owen Carlson

The 12-lapper took the top four to the A and was carnage filled. Lloyd maintained the lead throughout with Lambertz in tow. On lap three, J. Masur got sideway. Johnson had nowhere to go, hit him, and flipped. He was uninjured. Lloyd led Lambertz, La Moore, N. Barger and Sullivan back to green. La Moore tagged the frontstretch wall on lap six. That broke his front end, sending him into the inside wall and out of the race. M. Slendy gained fifth with Moore’s exit and then surged into the final transfer spot on the restart. Sullivan and Hanson came together, with Sullivan retiring. On lap nine, Jansen flipped hard into turn one. He was o.k. M. Slendy retired with two to go surrendering the final transfer to Hanson.

The 20-lapper saw D. Bickett led Serbus, G. Masur, Ockenga and Lo Moore early. One lap in, an incident involving Heiskell, Bayley Ballenger, Laplante and Lambertz who got upside down, eliminated all by Laplante. Erickson grabbed fifth after the restart. On lap three, Serbus used the high side to take the lead from Bickett. Voeltz was on the move and grabbed fifth from Lo Moore on lap seven, fourth from Ockenga on lap 8 and third from G. Masur on lap nine. Erickson gained fourth on lap ten. On lap 13, Waxdahl brought the caution with a flat right front tire. The final restart saw Serbus leading D. Bickett, Voeltz, Erickson and Ockenga. Voeltz would shoot by Bickett for second, but had nothing for Serbus, who went on to win his second 305 feature here to go with his one 410 win.
