WHEATLAND, MO. (September 17, 2026) - Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing joined the 16th annual Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial for the first time ever on Thursday night, and promptly delivered a spectacular show at Lucas Oil Speedway.

The 30-lap preliminary produced four different leaders as Giovanni Scelzi led from the jump, Rico Abreu whipped by him momentarily, Scelzi stormed back by, then Justin Peck drove to the point on Lap 14, and ultimately Tyler Courtney came from 12th to take control on Lap 26 once and for all.

"Sunshine" was elated in Whiskey Myers Victory Lane - his second trip of the year - after making it back-to-back winners from row six with High Limit (McFadden from 11th at Port Royal). It was his ninth-career win with the series and more notably, his third score in seven tries at "The Diamond of Dirt Tracks."

Justin Peck, celebrating his 28th birthday on Thursday, earned a heartbreaking second-place finish - his sixth runner-up of the season in the Rudeen Racing #26. Giovanni Scelzi, after leading early on, rounded out the podium in his Spire Motorsports, Chili's Grill & Bar #77.

Closing out the top-five on Thursday was Ashton Torgerson with a High Limit career-best of 4th in the Johnny Herrera #45X and Tanner Thorson with an 11th-to-5th drive in the JST Motorsports #88.

Finishing out the top-10 in the Hockett/McMillin opener was Pennsylvanian Brent Marks in sixth, Californian Rico Abreu in seventh, Australian Scott Bogucki in eighth, Floridian Danny Sams III in ninth, and Ohioan Kasey Jedrzejek in tenth.
