Brent Marks and Chase Briscoe Racing Secure $25,000 Roto-Rooter Midweek Series Title
KOKOMO, IND. (September 27, 2026) - In his second-ever try at "Indiana's Baddest Bullring," Oregon native Tanner Holmes put on a masterclass to win Driven2SaveLives Sunday Funday. Leading all 35 laps at Kokomo Speedway, the Buch Motorsports #13 pilot was untouchable en route to his second-career win with Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing.
Earning the outside pole, Holmes ripped by pole sitter Kasey Jedrzejek's CJB Motorsports #5 on the start and never looked back. Battling through lap traffic for the first 32 laps until a caution flew, Holmes amassed a near three-second lead at one point while Daison Pursley and Chase Randall waged war behind him.
A Lap 32 caution created a restart with three laps left and gave us one big slider from Randall, but an even bigger decision to stay flat-out full throttle when Holmes saw the #9R coming right at him and he never lifted to drive around him.
That potential Five Star Bodies Move of the Month sealed the deal on Holmes' second-career Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing win - both trips to Whiskey Myers Victory Lane coming in Roto-Rooter Midweek Series competition. Prior to his Driven2SaveLives Sunday Funday score, he first triumphed during the Iowa Lottery Shelby County Showdown in June.
Chase Randall, who came so close to pulling off a stunner on the last restart, settled for a second-place finish at Kokomo. For "The Quickest Chicken," it was his first podium of the season and marks his career-best finish with High Limit as he continues to chase his first win.
Fresh off his sixth-career 4-Crown title (in Silver Crown) the night before at Eldora, Daison Pursley used that momentum to produce his third podium result of the season with High Limit - taking the Kasey Kahne Racing, NAPA Auto Parts #9 to a third-place effort.
Those three - Holmes (22), Randall (22), and Pursley (21) - combined to set a new record for youngest podium in High Limit history. If you go beyond that to Kasey Jedrzejek (21) and Justin Peck (28), they extend to create the youngest top-five in series history as well.
Closing out the top-10 on Sunday was Australian Ryan Newton in his own #66, Giovanni Scelzi in the Spire Motorsports #77, Rico Abreu in the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing #24, Tanner Thorson in the JST Motorsports #88, and Parker Price-Miller in the Indy Race Parts #71.
Finishing 12th to Reutzel's 11th, Brent Marks did enough to secure the 2026 Roto-Rooter Midweek Series title and earn a $25,000 bonus for the Chase Briscoe Racing, Magical Vacation Planner #19 team. Pulling ahead by 15pts across 14 rounds, the Myerstown, Pennsylvania native recorded nine top-fives including seven podium finishes and a win at Fremont Speedway in the mini-series.
